Gà sốt cà chua khoai tây hay gà Afritada là một món ăn phổ biến tại Philippines. Món ăn có vị ngon đậm đà, không quá mặn cũng không quá nhạt nên bạn có thể ăn được rất nhiều. Cùng với đó là hỗn hợp rau củ chín nhừ ngọt dịu vừa làm giảm đi độ béo của món ăn lại giúp tăng chất dinh dưỡng.
Ướp thịt gà với nước tương và nước chanh trong nửa giờ sau đó vớt lấy thịt gà để riêng. Trong một chảo lớn, đun sôi dầu trên lửa vừa. Xào tỏi, hành tây và cà chua trong 2 phút hoặc cho đến khi hành tây mềm.
Thêm thịt gà vào xào trong vài phút cho đến khi thịt chín vàng và không còn màu hồng. Thêm nước mắm, khuấy đều và sau đó thêm nước sốt cà chua và nước. Đun sôi hỗn hợp thì bắt đầu giảm nhiệt, đậy nắp và tiếp tục đun sôi, thỉnh thoảng khuấy qua, đun trong 20 phút.
Khoai tây gọt vỏ thái miếng lớn. Cà rốt, ớt chuông thái khối nhỏ vừa ăn. Thêm cà rốt, ớt và khoai tây, đậy kín nắp và nấu trong 10 phút hoặc cho đến khi khoai tây mềm. Nêm với muối và hạt tiêu cho vừa ăn.
Múc gà sốt cà chua khoai tây ra bát và ăn nóng với cơm trắng. Ngoài ra, món này không chỉ thích hợp ăn riêng vào bữa cơm mà còn dùng để ăn chung với bánh mì đều rất ngon.
